My name is John Shar, owner and operator of Above All Tile & Stone. Here is a little bit of information about us. We are a family owned and operated local bathroom remodeling & tile installation company that formed in 2007. We specialize in tile setting/installation. Long before going on our own we were doing work all around the minneapolis area as workers for another local tile setting company. Tile setting & Remodeling has been our family’s expertise for generations and has been our family trade. At a young age of 14 every summer we would come along with our father or uncles to help them with simple things like rolling out the drop clothes, bringing in required tools, keeping the work area clean & make simple tile cuts on the tile cutter to make a little bit income in the summer. As time passed your skill level and abilities grew. Growing up we had the chance to learn basics of other trades like framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint & carpentry working alongside relatives who specialized in those trades.
By the time you are 18 years of age and fresh out of school you have acquired a skill level in the remodeling trade at a very early age. Enjoying to do more detail oriented work that requires very close attention to small details we decided to stay with Tile Setting/Installation as our primary area of expertise. After starting our own family tile installation company in 2007, over the years we watched how stressful it was for our clients to juggle multiple contractors to finish their bathroom remodel projects, that’s when we decided that for the comfort of our clients to slowly expand into offering Full Bathroom Remodel services to minimize the stress & pressure that remodeling a bathroom can put on homeowners. We are very honest with our clients & work close side by side offering professional advice along the way to help our clients achieve the bathroom they always dreamed of.

Even though everyone knows you cannot fully eliminate remodeling dust, to minimize remodeling dust as much as possible our teams cut all the tile & lumber outside your home. Bathroom intake air vent gets covered & and air mover gets set into the bathroom window to direct the dusty air outside from the bathroom. All the mixing of mortars & grouts is also done outside to minimize the dust as much as possible.
